【 April 15th=KEJ Saito Mizuki/Translator=Jeong Ji Eun】Young Woong Jae Joong(24), a member of TVXQ, has been very active in Japan.
Last week, he was featured on the cover of a popular magazine “Ahng Ahng.” This week, his drama appearance begins.
Young Woong Jae Joong had last attended a presentation on developing dramas in December during his advertising campaign for his first Japanese drama appearance in “Sunao ni Narenakute.” This week was his first time appearing in an official presentation after TVXQ announced their temporary break. That afternoon, he appeared in a live show “Yoruno warate iitomo” along with other celebrities who will be acting in new dramas on Fuji TV. On the show, Young Woong Jae Joong talked with Japanese star celebrities Tamori, Masahiro Nakai of SMAP, Takuya Kimura, and et cetera.
On the 14th, Young Woong Jae Joong went on the show alone, with Ayumi Hamasaki’s support. While the audience cheered enthusiastically, Young Woong Jae Joong spoke in fluent Japanese about the drama and about his hobbies, such as body building.
The drama “Sunao ni Narenakute”, which will be aired on the 15th at 10 p.m. for the first time, is set in Shibuya, Tokyo, where 5 people form a friendship over the social website Tweeter. Young Woong Jae Joong will be playing the role of a salesman of medical devices named Seong Su Park.
On another note, the writer of the same drama, Eriko Kitagawa’s Korean-Japanese movie “Postman to Heaven” is opening in Japan in May; Young Woong Jae Joong’s increasing activity in Japan is highly anticipated.
