Shinhwa continues to be wildly successful 15 years later
【July 18=KEJ Miwa Takahashi / Translator Eunbee Kim】After releasing their 11th album “THE CLASSIC” this past May, legendary group Shinhwa recently held the Japanese leg of their tour over a span of three days from the 13th to the 15th at the Makuhari Messe Makuhari Event Hall in Chiba.
Their 11th album, “THE CLASSIC” features a variety of different dance tracks including Shinhwa’s most famous, and proved the group’s still reigning dominance over the industry when pre-order sales reached 4 million copies and crashed the online servers.
The extravagant performance of “Only one” was a part of the “2013 SHINHWA GRAND TOUR THE CLASSIC IN TOKYO”. The group showed off their sex appeal in “Your Man”, and Lee Min Woo continued to charm fans with a solo dance in “Hey, Come on”.
Shin Hye Sung said with a smile, “I’m so happy that there are more and more fans appearing” while Kim Dong Wan joked with fans and his fellow members and said, “It would be awesome fto have everyone’s support even when we’re not in Japan. I hope nobody forgets about the fan base here. Sometimes I even forget the fact that I’m a singer”.
Shinhwa continued on to sing “TOP” and “Perfect Man” after commenting that “without these songs, we might not even be together today”. The group once again changed the atmosphere with the six members performing their track “Hurts”.
Kicking off the second half with the title track “This Love” from their 11th album, Shinhwa exclaimed to the fans, “Thank you to everyone for loving us up until this point”. Shinhwa showed off their sexy charisma in live concert to their Japanese fans 15 years following their debut with encore track “I Pray 4 U”.
Meanwhile, Shinhwa will continue their Asia tour in Korea next month. Shinhwa’s first variety “Shinhwa TV” broadcast is riding propagation on Mnet Japan after being 100% Korean entertainment.
