Wonder Girls Appointed as Honorary Ambassadors for the 2013 Pyeong-Chang Special Olympics

【July 28th=KEJ Toshida Emi/ Translator= Jeong Ji-Hyun】The 5 members of the girl group Wonder Girls are now honorary ambassadors for the 2013 Special Olympics in Pyeong-Chang.
Earlier this month, Wonder Girls attended the closing ceremony for the Special Olympics in Athens, Greece, presenting an unforgettable show of Korean music and culture to an audience of around 50,000 people from all over the world. Afterwards, the organizing committee of the “2013 Pyeong-Chang Special Olympics” suggested the girls to become its honorary ambassadors, to which they gladly agreed without hesitation.
Every two years, the Special Olympics provide athletes with intellectual disabilities a chance to collaborate with the non-handicapped through sports. Wonder Girls revealed that “Attending the Special Olympics in Greece was a heartwarming experience that gave us a sense of obligation. It is a great honor for us to be contributing to such a meaningful occasion; we promise to do our best to promote the Pyeong-Chang Special Olympics far and wide.”
Currently, Wonder Girls is staying in the U.S. to prepare a new album and will also participate in the “JYP Nation Concert” next month in Tokyo.
