【July 29th = KEJ Koo Hye-Jin/ Translator= Jeong Ji-Hyun】K-Pop group Shinhwa’s vocalist Shin Hye-Sung (31) will form a duet group together with Kiyokiba Shunsuke (31), a singer-songwriter and a former member of the popular Japanese group EXILE.
Their first single “I Believe” will be released in Japan on October 5th. The two musicians began collaborating when Shin Hye-Sung, after singing EXILE’s hit song “Tada…Aitakute” (“Just Wanted to See You”) for his own solo album that releases on August 31st, asked the song’s writer Kiyokiba Shunsuke to write his next new single for him.
“I Believe” is a harmonious ballad that combines Shin Hye-Sung’s husky tone with Kiyokiba Shunsuke’s powerful voice. It will also be the centerpiece of the duet’s live concerts in Tokyo and Osaka this coming October.
The two artists are similar in that Hye-Sung is the main vocal of the 6-member group Shinhwa and Shunsuke used to be the main vocal of the then-6-member group EXILE. It seems that they have developed a particularly close friendship through this occasion.
Meanwhile, Shin Hye-Sung debuted into the Japanese music scene in February with his album “Find Voice in Song.” His nearest future plans include the “Shin Hye Sung 2011 Tour in Shanghai – The Road Not Taken,” which takes place on August 6th at the Luwan Stadium in Shanghai.
