The movie “Speedy Scandal” (Official HP: kasoku-scandal.jp), which has been playing in the theaters Shinjuku Musashino, Cinemart Rokbbonki, Shinagawa Prince Cinema, Nagoya Picadili, Umeda Garden Cinema, and the Cinemart Shinsaibashi since Saturday, February 13th, is a heartwarming comedy that attracted an 8 million and 300 thousand audience upon its release in December 2008, beating the records of “My Sassy Girl” and “200 Pounds Beauty”. With its humorous plot and dialogues as well as creative acting, the film is said to have saved the Korean film industry from stagnation.
In this movie, actor Cha Tae Hyun plays the single, ex-idol super star who now works as a DJ for a popular radio program. Always having wanted to be in a film with a child, Cha Tae Hyun got his chance to do so in this film, with Wang Suk Hyun, a child actor selected after many auditions. “Acting with a child was tough,” Cha Tae Hyun revealed, reminiscing about the days of recording, “but every scene I worked on with Suk Hyun was exciting.”

“Of course, I have always tried my best in acting, but my desire for a more realistic acting has grown after having a child.” For him, becoming a father seems to have been a strong motivation that also made him treat films in a more serious manner.
