【July 24th Gotanda, Tokyo=KEJ Yui Haruna/ Photographer= Chang Dong-Yeop/ Translation=Jeong Ji-Hyun】Actor Jeong-Myoung Chun(30), who is growing popular in Japan for his performance in dramas like “What’s Up Fox?” and “Cinderella’s Sister”, held his 2nd Japanese fan meeting on July 24th, at the U-Port Hall in Gotanda, Tokyo.

Right as he appeared on stage, the crowd filled the venue with loud cries of excitement. Nervously, Jeong-Myoung Chun stuttered words of greetings in Japanese, saying he is “happy to be meeting you again in healthier shape.” Indeed, the actor showed off a much more commanding presence than he did at the first fan-meeting 8 months ago. He is “trying to get in shape for my next piece. I heard that it’s best to grow muscles after you gain a certain amount of weight, so I’ve gained myself 12kg to start off,” as he revealed himself.

Although he spared words on details about his next drama, he did reveal certain stories about his most recent work on “The Duo.” Going along with the upbeat soundtrack in the background, he delightfully told his tale of how his “first attempt at a period play was full of harsh drama. Particularly, I fell off the horse twice during the numerous horse-riding scenes and had to get physical therapy to recover.”

The fan meeting featured various chances for the fans to personally meet the actor, shake hands, and even cook with him. “I’m always grateful for everyone who makes their way to come and meet me,” Jeong-Myoung Chun said. “I wish to have such opportunities more often.” He also happily added that “Greeting and shaking hands with my fans up and down the aisle gave me such great power. I feel inundated with positive energy right now!”

The event reached its climax when the actor performed live a song from the soundtrack of “Cinderella’s Sister”, which was something he had promised his fans at the last fan-meeting. All fans cheered him on by making waves with their upraised hands.
