【August 3rd=KEJ Shiina Saori/ Photographer= Song Min-Jae/ Translator= Jeong Ji-Hyun】A press conference for the upcoming concert “MUSILYMPIC, the One” took place on August 3rd at the Gwanghwa-Mun Press Center in Seoul. Campaigning for environmental activism, the concert announced to appoint the popular male group B2ST as its honorary ambassadors; the idol stars joined the conference that afternoon.
Going by its slogan “Protect Nature through Music,” the concert will invite other musicians from both Korea and Japan, including Super Junior, FT Island, Seong Si-Kyung, and the Japanese signer AI. Anyone who purchases the campaign’s official T-shirt can enter the concert on a first-come-first-served basis.
Revealing great interest in environmental issues, B2ST said, “It’s a great honor to become the campaign’s honorary ambassadors, as we’ve always sought ways to actually contribute to protecting nature. Of course, we can only do what is allowed of singers, but we hope that our song can have a positive effect on conservation.”
When asked to suggest ways to protect nature in daily life, Yang Yo-Seob commented, “It’s important to always keep it in mind to be eco-friendly everyday. I think that is a greater step to conserving the environment than any kind of special solutions.” He added with a bright smile, “For example, it’s a good idea to unplug electric cords that are not being used at the moment! I’m trying to make it a habit myself.”
B2ST brought the event to a close by signing the campaign’s official T-shirts and having their photographs taken.
“MUSILYMPIC, the One” will take place on September 30th at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul.
